Küçük Şeyler İçin Şükretmek.... Being Thankful for Little Things

Where we are in New York, Thanksgiving is celebrated this weekend. Although it's a major holiday here in the U.S., visitors to the Turkish Community Abroad website come from all over the world. Some live in countries where Thanksgiving is not a widely known holiday. But it isn't really that important whether you are reading this in the U.S. or outside the U.S.

The thing that IS important is that ALL of us ALL around the world can use the opportunity to take time to try to be thankful for things in our lives, either big or small. It's clear that we are living in difficult times. Some businesses have been forced to close their doors due to the pandemic. Some people have lost their jobs. From my perspective, it has been very difficult in the legal system. Cases have moved slowly. Standard court operations suffered disruptions. But that's nothing compared to what people who work in hospitals have been through.

To everyone who reads this, whatever you do, whether you're a doctor, tailor, student, or musician...

whether you're young or old...

whether you're rich or poor...

whether you're strong or tired...

Whether you are going through happiness or hardship or pain... may there be something you find to cherish to be thankful for.
