Ünlü Bir Noel Hikayesi

Here we are at Christmas Eve, a time for friendship, family, and good will. For some it is a time to get together and catch up with friends. For others, it is a time to reflect on the past year and think about the year ahead. For those who want to catch up on reading and films, there are certain winter favorites this time of year, one being "A Christmas Carol," by Charles Dickens. For those who want to turn a new page in their lives with the coming year, the tale can be inspirational.

The story takes place in the dark days of the Industrial Revolution in the mid-1800s. A miserable and stingy man named Ebenezer Scrooge is visited on Christmas Eve by the ghost of his deceased business partner. The man is so joyless that he is reluctant to give his underpaid assistant the day off on this holiday. The ghost tells him he must change his ways or be consigned to a dreadful afterlife.

Scrooge changes his ways and becomes a kinder and more decent person. What is the lesson here? It is a story of redemption. It is a story of resurrection. It is a story of being able to turn things around... and maybe to have hope. Many out there are struggling. Life has become harder. But sometimes having hope is one of the biggest things we have to keep us going.
